もしアメリカで1週間に18時間以上学習されるのであれば、I-20が送られてきます。これはアメリカ大使館にF-1学生ビザ申請書類と一緒に提出しなければなりません。このI-20にはSEVIS追跡番号がついています。学生ビザを申請したい学生はアメリカ大使館か領事館に（学生ビザ取得のための）面接に行く前に、SEVIS費用をオンラインで支払いを終えなければなりません。
